3D2N stays and 7D6N-8D7N cross-island circuits are quoted individually; a TMC-in, WGP-out route changes vehicle days, driver overnights and the second flight leg. The lowest price point on each row assumes four travellers sharing one 4×4; a couple with a private vehicle sits higher on the row.
What do resort nights cost, and what is the 21 percent?
NIHI Sumba’s public rates and inclusions page states that all room rates are exclusive of a 21 percent government tax and service charge. Its 2026 price document, dated March 2026, quotes rooms in IDR with USD converted at the prevailing rate; the final charge is based on the rate at payment. On-island experiences are priced separately, per person or per couple, in IDR.
So the room line reads: nightly rate (hotel’s 2026 sheet, your dates, your category) x nights x 1.21. We do not print the hotel’s nightly figures; they move by season and category, and only the hotel’s sheet counts. We fetch the current rate, confirm availability, and show the line as the hotel states it. Lelewatu (also Wanokaka, West Sumba) and Cap Karoso (Karoso Beach, Kodi, Southwest Sumba) are quoted the same way, on their own published terms.

Why won’t you publish a total package price for a Nihi Sumba trip?
Because a total that includes a resort is not verified until the hotel confirms room, rate and dates. The hotel prices in IDR with USD converted at payment, so a figure printed in advance would be wrong. We publish only the dated land-only ladder and local fees; the total is a confirmed quote from the Indonesia Juara Trip team.
Do I pay Bali’s IDR 150,000 levy if I only transit Denpasar to Tambolaka?
Budget for it, as of 2026. Bali’s IDR 150,000 levy per international visitor has applied since 14 February 2024, and every DPS-TMC routing passes through Bali. Whether a same-day transit or any other case is exempt is the Bali provincial government’s call, not ours or the hotel’s, and the rules can change. We list the levy as a line on your quote, so a waiver on the day is a saving rather than a surprise. Add the IDR 50,000 airport tourist tax on arrival in Sumba and the visa on arrival of about IDR 500,000 for 30 days.
How far ahead should I request a quote for June to August?
Three to six months, as of 2026.
