Lelewatu Resort, West Sumba

Sheet 13 · Cost

NIHI Sumba and Lelewatu in one trip

Both sit in West Sumba, roughly an hour apart. Splitting your nights between them costs one transfer, not a day.

Ask the desk

In short

Yes, both fit in one trip. They are in the same half of the island, so the move between them is a short transfer — which is exactly why this pairing works and a NIHI-and-East-Sumba pairing needs more days.

  • Same half of the island
  • One transfer between bases
  • Each resort quoted by its hotel

The shape

How the nights divide

A working shape for five or six days. Which resort comes first depends on which one confirms your dates.

  1. The arrival hotel at Tambolaka, Sumba 01

    Arrive Tambolaka

Land at TMC and transfer straight to the first base. Nothing else scheduled.

    Tambolaka

  2. The peaked roofs of Prai Ijing village, West Sumba 02

    The Wanokaka side

Villages, the coast and the ridge roads inland, out and back from the first base.

    Prai Ijing, West Sumba

  3. A car on the ridge road through the Sumba hills 03

    Move between resorts

A short transfer, with stops on the way rather than a straight run. You arrive with the afternoon still yours.

    The ridge road

  4. The saltwater lagoon at Weekuri, Southwest Sumba 04

    The far West

Weekuri, Ratenggaro and the Kodi coast, reachable as a long day from either base.

    Weekuri, Kodi

  5. The road winding through the Sumba hills 05

    Depart Tambolaka

Back to TMC for the flight out. Same airport in and out on this route.

Both resorts confirm their own availability. We hold the land arrangements around whichever answers first.

We do not mark up a resort rate. The hotel confirms it and you see that figure.

How this one is priced

There is no published band for a two-resort trip, because the two largest lines are set by the hotels.

  • Group size

The biggest lever by far. Per-person cost falls steadily to eight travellers, then rises again when a second car is needed.

  • Where you sleep

Standard hotels sit inside the land rate. Resort nights are quoted by the hotel and added on top, on confirmation.

  • How far the route reaches

Staying in the West is one base. Adding the East means an open-jaw ticket and a second base, and both carry cost.

The published land rate card covers 4D3N, 5D4N and 6D5N, with every figure dated: /nihi-sumba-trip-cost/
