Why do 4-6 nights on one coast beat a longer loop?
Sumba is larger than Bali, with rough, partly unpaved roads, and a 3-4 day trip should stay on one side of the island. A honeymoon is not a survey trip, so we keep you on the Wanokaka coast of West Sumba, where NIHI Sumba sits at Hoba Wawi and Lelewatu shares the district: one private 4×4 transfer in from Tambolaka (TMC), around 60-90 minutes by road, and one out. Cap Karoso at Karoso Beach in Kodi, Southwest Sumba, is the beach-house alternative, about 50 minutes from TMC by the resort’s own estimate.

What does a Nihi Sumba honeymoon package cost?
Two numbers exist and are never added together here. The first is Indonesia Juara Trip’s land-only ladder, published at luxurysumba.com/sumba-trip-cost as of 2026; it excludes the resort.

The ladder has three service tiers; we confirm which applies before quoting. 7D6N two-base is quote only.
The second is the resort’s nightly rate. NIHI Sumba’s 2026 price document, dated March 2026, quotes rooms in IDR with USD converted at the prevailing rate; the final charge follows the rate on the day you pay. The sheet moves, so we print no nightly figure; the current indicative rate, exclusive of the 21 percent tax and service, goes into your quote once the hotel replies. A total that includes a resort is issued only as a confirmed quote by the Indonesia Juara Trip team.
How does booking work?
- Send dates and a shortlist. Travel window, number of nights, and whether you lean NIHI, Lelewatu, Cap Karoso or a boutique villa.
- We check land availability. Driver-guide and 4×4 for your dates; peak June-August needs months of lead time.
- We write to the hotel. Room category, sunset ride, spa slot, candle-lit dinner and late checkout go in as one written request; the hotel replies with availability and terms.
- You receive one quote. Land services, the hotel’s confirmed rate as a separate line, and the fee list above.
- You approve and pay deposits. Land deposit per our quote; hotel deposit per the hotel’s own terms.
- Pre-trip and travel. Seven days out we reconfirm every hotel request. Your driver-guide meets you at TMC.

Can a honeymoon package guarantee a specific villa at NIHI Sumba?
No. We request the room category you want; the hotel confirms it or offers an alternative under its own terms. High-end room supply on Sumba is small, so June-August requests should go in months ahead. We hold no hotel inventory, and the quote says so.
Is the sunset beach ride or candle-lit dinner included in the package price?
No. Both are hotel experiences priced separately per person or per couple in IDR on the resort’s 2026 list, and both depend on availability. We submit the request note with your dates and relay the hotel’s answer. Our package covers land services; hotel extras appear as separate lines.
How many nights is right for a Nihi Sumba honeymoon?
Four to six nights on the Wanokaka coast. Four suits couples who want one excursion and otherwise stay put; five adds a spa day without rushing; six lets you split two bases on the same side of the island. Cross-island loops of seven or eight days are a different trip.
Should we honeymoon in Sumba during the wet season?
It works if the villa is the point. From December to March, and especially January-February, afternoon downpours are normal, temperatures stay 26-31°C and mornings remain usable. We keep the village-and-waterfall day short and close to the coast, because swollen rivers and mud stretch road times.
