Every Sumba trip comes down to two questions: where you sleep each night, and how far that bed is from what you came to see. We plan the nights, the routes, the transfers and the guides. NIHI Sumba is one accommodation option among several. Its rate is quoted on request and depends on the hotel confirming the booking and its terms.

Is this the NIHI Sumba website?
No. Nihi Sumba Trip is an independent desk run by Indonesia Juara Trip, and we have no affiliation with NIHI Sumba. We plan trips in which NIHI can be one accommodation option, and room bookings depend on the hotel's confirmation and terms.
What does land-only mean?
Land-only covers the parts of the trip on the ground: transfers, drivers, guides and planned touring. It does not include the resort stay. The resort rate is quoted separately after the hotel confirms.
How do I get to Wanokaka?
Most guests fly into Tambolaka (TMC) in West Sumba and take a private road transfer to the coast. We confirm the transfer time when we fix your itinerary.
Which months are drier?
Roughly April to November. December to March is the wetter stretch, so we add buffer time to longer road days.
Can I split a NIHI stay with East Sumba?
Yes, on longer trips. East Sumba is a cross-island transfer, so we suggest a second base in the East and open-jaw flights: into TMC, out of WGP, depending on the flight schedule. Our sample cross-island shapes use 6 or 7 nights.
What happens if the lodge is full?
We tell you in writing and offer comparable lodges or villas in the same zone, so the night plan and drive bands still work.
