A full-day West Sumba excursion from Wanokaka combines the regency’s headline stops in one private 4×4 day, sequenced by the guide around road conditions: Lapopu waterfall, a megalithic village around Waikabubak or Wanokaka itself, and the surf beaches at Marosi and Kerewei. A Kodi day is different. Ratenggaro, Weekuri lagoon (IDR 20,000 per person) and Mandorak beach sit in Southwest Sumba Regency, on the far side of Tambolaka from Wanokaka. September and October bring fewer visitors and somewhat lower prices at similar conditions. April and November are mixed shoulder months; keep the excursion day flexible. December to March is the wet season, and January-February is where a fourth night earns its keep as insurance.
