What happens if your flight into Tambolaka is late?

Sumba’s dry season runs roughly May to October. June to August is the window most planners and a 30-year satellite analysis call ideal, with about 30°C average temperatures and roughly a 9 percent chance of rain. It is also when the island’s small supply of good 4x4s and drivers sells out: in peak months, book the car when you book the room.
September and October bring fewer visitors and easier availability.
